i need some bass help

Okay, I've got a 2002 ex coupe. Summer finally came and I now have income so I can start working on my car. Problem is, I'm sixteen and don't exactly know what to get. The highs and mids are okay for the time being, but I need more bass. I'm thinking 2 JL 12W3s, but I've got no idea what I want or need for an amp. Would one for each sub work out better? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

go with the w3's, they sound great. one class D amp will work fine, its just up to you on how you want to hook it up.

I went ahead and addeed bass without adding highs at the same time. Believe me if you just get the 12w3's you'll be pissed after a week or two. If you're intent on that get the dual 2 or 4 ohm models and get a jbl 1200.1 or a mtx 8100d the jbl is cheap and you could get two for the price of the mtx. look into some good componets for the doors and the rear deck though. the jbl wwill run you about $290 on the web. I'll crank 1000+ watts at 2 ohms

You might want to visit sounddomain.com and termpro.com's Forums and get more info before you make that hefty purchase. Also feeding 1000 watts+ to a pair of 12w3's will leave you with 2 blown subs easy. They're rated for 250Wrms..but can handle about 400 for daily use.

Cheers

1000 watts to w3s? Good luck coz this is a bad combination...change the amp to one with a lower wattage or change the sub to ones which could handle that wattage.
