infinity 6.5

what does everyone think of Infinity 63.3i 6.5s. i just ordered them for my rear speakers since 6x9s wont fit with out major modding. Any pros/cons of these speakers out there? see the rest of my planned system in my sig.

did you know that a rocket engine wont fit under teh hood without major modification? nor a two-stroke engine?

why would you want 6x9's in your car? they flex so easy, they sound worse, and i can name 6.5's that will play lower than any 6x9.......

name a 6.5 that will player lowe than kicker 6x9" Free air subs.. or Cerwin Vega's old Vega 6x9's subs ...but then your gonna say..well those are subs..not midrange speakers.. but then I'll say..you didn;t specify that... the you'll come up with some long winded response stating that my response did not pertain to the original question, in which I will respond.. Beh...

Did I Miss anything ..LMAO..

That depends on the install.. but I/B Open space they can play +/-3db down to 46hz. for the CV 6X9 subs.. given the CV's have more displacement I'd guess the Kickers will play down to 50Hz fairly flat..then roll off pretty quick

well, i guess youve found 2 sets of 6x9's that can keep up with digital designs 6.5's, which also start to roll off at 50 Hz......

of course, those DD mids can take 250 watts without batting an eye.....freerange........

of course, you end up paying for the quality, about $20 more for the DD than for the kicker....

the DD"s also need an enclosure for that kind of power....I've beenr eading up on em alot lately. in .3 cubes with 150Wrms they play like 8's getting 300 watts .. they can thermally handle 250Wrms..but playing bass they;ll over excurt if high passed passed 45ish hurts...I was gonna order one when I get some extra $$$ to play around with one and see what the fuss is about..

for a person who doesnt know much about sound and systems and stuff. Please explain flexed. What flexed. I have the Kappa's, the green ones, and the sound pretty good for no amp, no distortion.

the cones of mine would literally flex. playing lower frequencies woudl make teh flexing of the cone resonate, so i could see waves forming in the cone. higher frequencies sounded ok, but those were teh ones i wanted to block out for teh stage. It was easier and sounded better to take them out.

if yourse sound good and you like them, why take them out?
