this relates to my del sol, but i dont see how that should make a difference...

i transferred my amp and subs over to my del sol, wired it fine..but now the setup will work only with the car off and in accessory position, but car wont start and any time i do anything that needs power (open door or step on brake pedal..etc), all corner lights flash for a while. if i take the amp 12v cord off the + on the battery, the car will start up fine and everythings good. Is it just a crappy battery or something? Please help if you can..thanks

You could have a faulty amp thats draining the power from the bat because it will never shut off. What kind of amp is it? Class D? Try another if you can.

Inca..it sounds like somethings mighty funky with your wiring.. When you spliced the wire for your Ignition turn on did you disconnect it from something else?

i didnt wire anything wrong..did find the problem though.......

apparently whoever had the car before me had installed some kind of cheap alarm, and yada yada yada, after looking under the dash for any fuse problems i found the aftermarket wires with fuses on them. pulled one fuse, and the car started right when i turned the key. Turns out thats why the corner lights were flickering for like 30 secs and there was no power. i guess they didnt know how to wire the alarm to the horn as well as the lights.

*side note: that was the first time i had disconnected the battery when i started havin the problems.
