A buncha Questions
I have an Sony 1000 watt amp wired all the way with almost a foot fo slack it is mounted to the back of my rear seats facing out into the trunk screwed into my seat, then i have a 12 inch solo baric L5 subwoofer in a premade box roaming freely around my trunk. I want to create a custom trunk and i bought a buncha screws MDF board, some 2x4 boards and bolts, i have most necessary woodshop tools in my garage. i want to mount the sub in my trunk replace the trunk liner with solid carpeted MDF and have the sub flush with my trunk for a pro look, i also want to relocate my amp elsewhere i have a few questions
1. wheres the best place to put the sub (prolly not getting another one this one shakes everything)
2. where should i put the amp and how can i extend the wire? (if there is a way, RCA and 12 V)
3. whats the best way to build a frame and add on to an existing box to create a flush appearance, flush with the trunk (built in loook)
4. should i build a whole new box instead of adding on to the current box and how can i make sure not to lose any sound quality thats gotten from a premade box.
5. do i really stuff the box with cotton before i put the sub in?
6. i like symmetry, its hard to achieve symmetry with one sub unless ur mounting it in the middle? any suggestions?
check out how its currently setup.

you can make numerious installs.
you can have some
1 in the tire well
2 facing the back of the car
3 facing the front of the car
i like it facing the back of the car but its up to you
give us some ideas on what you want so we can help you to make it.

symmetry... why not raise the trunk floor, dont even have to remove the spare, use the space between the spare and rear bumper... put the amp on top where the spare is...

an dputting the amps in the tire well covered with plexiglass.
I also considered putting it behind the fenderwell in a new box and having it flush on the right side and putting the amps flush on the left side.
as for the other idea, it doesnt sound too bad, but partly why im doing it so it looks pro and the other is that the civ is my dialy driver and i need solid trunk space for my grocery getter.

maybe put a grill over it? i know it'll stick out a lil tho so you could also recess the sub a lil and put a grill thats level with the floor over it... but ya its gunna be hard making it symetrical with just one sub... another way would be just over the whole back side of the trunk and put the sub in the middle but you couldn't use your 60/40 seats
