Are Polk DB's any good?

A kid in my school keeps boasting about his dads system with Polk DB speakers and an MTX Blue Thunder Legend sub. Is this stuff any good or is he full of sh*t? How would those DB's compare to my Focal Polykevlars?

I have Polk db's and I think they are great. Can't compare them to the speakers you have though. The Polks are better than anything in their price range that I have heard. Hope this helps.

Polk DB subs and speakers are pretty good for the price..but not worth bragging to all your friends about and boasting their the best since peanut butter .. Never beleive friends. Most people always claim their system sounds better than yours. Even if in fact it does sound like crap. They spent their Money so theirs has to be best.. it's a denial thing mostly.. lol

Cheers
