The previous owner of this car blew out the driver's side front speaker ( moron ). If I go to Crutchfield, they have tons of reasonably priced speakers for this. But how easy is it, to do myself? Do the covers just snap off, you unscrew the speakers and replace them? 1/4" lug connectors, perhaps? ( OR I can solder well, being a former Electronics Research & Development Technician with an ASET ( Associate in Science in Electronics Technology ).
Don't see videos on Google for this.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

The front speakers are held in by clips. You have the option of drilling holes into the metal and mounting the speakers that way or using the old speaker as a mount for the new one. This last option also helps as a spacer because the mounting depth is 2" if its more than this your speaker wont fit, I believe the window regulator bumps into it if its not a shallow speaker.
Anyway i found two videos showing this last method of install.

This is beginning to sound like I'd better have a sound place do this. I thought it might be simple.
