1998 civic radio removal and 2200ub install questions.
Hello,
I bought a 1998 Civic with a pioneer deh-2200ub that didn't work , power came on but no sound. I took apart the dash and found the previous owner used a relocation kit and kept the old radio for keyless entry.. Since I have no need for keyless entry I want to remove the honda radio.
Questions:
Can I simply use the relocation kit as the connector to the 2200ub and leave the piece that went to the old radio?
It appears it had an amp, the blue and white wire was attached to a wire to the trunk, can I just tape off the wire?
Connecting 1 and 2 in the attached photos should work right? Thanks for your help in advance..
