Subwoofer Acting Up
Subwoofer Acting Up
I have a 2005 Honda Civic coupe LX SE, and I recently installed a Dual amplifier and subwoofer. Because the stock stereo (to my knowledge) doesn't have a RCA input, I used a hi-low converter. It has two wires for the right speaker, two for the left, and two to ground it. I hooked the two ground wires directly into the ground in the amp. Every time I turn on the car, the sub plays a low bass sound for a few seconds, as if the amp is turning on. The same thing happens when I turn the car off. Does anybody know how to fix this?
Re: Subwoofer Acting Up
Probably the only way to fix it would be a relay for the amp. The cheaper amps will do that or pop when they are turned on or off.
How do you have the amp wired for power?

Re: Subwoofer Acting Up
I had the same thing happen to me when i first got my subs, as it turns out it was a faulty bass boost remote for the amp, just one more think to look into if you have one.
