I'm hooking up some 4-way 6x9's tomorrow, and I plan on getting some matching 6.5's in the future, I am wondering what are the specs on the factory 6.5's.. Does anyone know.. I am going to be running a 400x4 amp and want to get all of it hooked up tomorrow.. I don't plan on turning up the amp too much, but don't want to keep it too low, I wanna hear the 6x9's.. Any info would be appreciated.

what do you mean specs? maximum RMS?? it doesn't matter, just leave the front speakers hooked up to the radio amp until you get the new speakers. when you do, hook them up to the amp. I assume you have a 100x4 amp, not a 400x4, because your not gonna be able to hook up any speaker to a 400x4 amp [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG] (I've never seen one either)

IT's a 400 watt amp, and yes it pushes 100x4.. So I should be ok with just hooking up the 6x9's to the amp for now?

The Stock 6.5 will blow with anything more than 30Wrms.. their rated for 20Wrms.. What amp is it you have??

It's a Depth Charge 100x4.. but don't worry it doesn't work, so im going to return it.. other than that everything went in great and sound very nice.
