Amp help

Hey I have some ? About an amp and what to get . I have 2 front alpine speakers which can handle 240 watts peak power 60 rms and 4 oms impedence. I don't know if that's each speaker. In the back it's also alpine which handle 300 watts peak power and 75 rms 4 ohms impedance. My head unit is also alpine and its specs are 50 watts peak power x 4 chanmels (18 rms)sI overalls don't know what kind of an amp to buy and the specifications to get so they maximize potential. I don't know urban right but do i need like a 4 channel amp that's like a 1000 watts.

Re: Amp help

Get something that matches the RMS ratings of your speakers
Something like a 300~500 watt 4 channel amp would be nicely suited.

Would help if we knew your budget too

Re: Amp help

you can always get an amp that has a higher output rating than your speakers but make sure you adjust the gains properly or you'll risk blowing them. my front speakers are 90w rms (2ohm), rear 100w rms (4ohm) and i'm using a 100w rms x4 @ 4ohms/ 150w rms x4 @ 2ohm amp.

Re: Amp help

My budgets around like 200$. So you guys are saying you don't have to add up all the watts of the 4 amps to get how much power you need from an amp.
