Raamat??
I know Mohawk pushes Raamat over Dynamat because of price.... I have two questions.
1) I've heard that the adhesive on Raamat is horrible....would that 3M spray adhesive help that problem?
2) Where can i buy the stuff? I have searched everywhere but all i can find it anywhere.
Thanks all

Brown Bread and Scosche AccuMat are supposed to be pretty good.
You can check out brown bread here it's not as cheap as RAAMat though.
$94.99 for 35 sq. ft., $154 for 70 sq. ft. Free shipping though, hehe

RAAM mat has an adhesive like no other. I don't think I can pull this stuff off if I wanted to. As far as where you can get it...e-mail raam@raamaudio.com. I would recommend this stuff over anything else out there.

I don't know where you are getting your information from but the adhesive on RAAMmat is excellent. Do yourself a favor and get your information straight from the source, Rick McCallum. He is RAAMAudio. E-mail him at raam@raamaudio.com. Great guy who will answer all your questions and give you a great price. Tell him Don Mullen told you to contact him.

SQ..I've done that and Rick sent me some samples.. I compared RAAMmat, Dynamat Extreme and Brownbread...of the 3 Raammat is the easiest to work with. Best adhesive from my playing around has been brown bread, closely followed by Raammat and dynamat extreme in a distant 3rd.. But all 3 will hold for life anyways..with Raammat if it's really humid outside you may come across some long term problems..otherwise it aint neva comin off. Deadenign wise, Dynamat extreme seems to have the edge.. couldn't tell a dang difference between BB and Raammat. Price wise if you live in the US Raammat is the by far the cheapest... If you live in canada..with GST, Excise taxes, shipping Duty and exhange. Raammat comes out to being $13 more expensive than Brown Bread. Dynamat at it's cheapest is like $169US for 36 sq.ft so you can can run 2 layers of raam mat or borwn bread for cheaper and 2 layers of those will be much more effective than 1 layer of Dynamat.
Best Adhesion:
Brown Bread
Raammat
Dynamat Extreme
Best Deadening
Dynamat Extreme
Tie: Brown Bread and Raammat60
Easiest to work with:
Raammat
Brown Bread
Dynamat Extreme
Messiest:
Brown Bread (if heat gun is needed(cool weather this stuff gets messsy)
Tie Raammat and Dynamat (not very messy)
and last but not lease.. Cost Cheapest to most $$$$:
In the US: Raammat, Brown Bread, Dynamat Extreme
Canada: Brown Bread, Raammat, Dynamat Extreme

Small Addendum on RAAMmat.. it will only peel if you install it when it is very humid and some water is lightly condensing to the sheet metal before application.. One it's applied..it on for life. (Why would you put sound deadening mat on in the rain anyways????)
