powerpoint questions

on the 12v power point, is there a simple way to keep it on all the time instead of it turning off when you turn the car off?

Re: powerpoint questions

wire it directly to the battery. i'm guessing here, but i don't see why not. just make sure to fuse the new setup, so if there is some kind of power surge it won't kill what ever you plug in.

Re: powerpoint questions

I have a Garmin Nuvi 1450LM that I bought from Costco for $160, when you turn off the car, and it's plugged in
It asks you "Power has been lost, Turn off? Stay on?"
There is no point in hardwiring a GPS, just get a better GPS
