anyone used glowire?

I'm doing some custom audio work on my 01 ex. In the trunk I'm puttting plywood for the base, dropping in a box for the amps, and on the sides for the capacitors, and making dual 3/4" mdf sub boxes, and layering it as one. the caps, amps, and subs will be seen behind 1/2" Plexiglas. Now that i explained what im doing, i need some lights besides neon, that i can run along the crevices so make the glass, inside and around, light up. i can only find "Glowire"....has anyone worked with this?

Re: anyone used glowire?

its okay but not great. its usually not bright enough and the inverter can go bad. its also called EL (electroluminescent) wire.

Do you have any other recommendations, suggestions, or ideas on how I can light up my set up?

thin neon would prolly work better, or better yet led strips if you can afford these (best quality). www.radiantz.com

most of the led strips are thin enough that it should work, and they are directional so you can have them facing whichever way works. any pics?
