why are my speakers going crazy when my deck is off

ok. this is very annoying. my deck is off and my speakers are still making all kinds of noise. is it the ground connection on the amp, or is it because i got power spliced not from the power wire on the deck, but from the accessory plug.

i got to fix this before i go crazy.

thanks,
plastik

ok let me start be asking if it is a 4ch amp.... and if so are you telling me that you are connecting the positive wire where the acc plug goes? i hope not, it is supposed to be connected to the actuall battery it self. u have to go throug the fire wall itself....... if you have already done this. is sounds like either
1 - altanator whine ( can be fixed many different ways)
2 - bad ground ( just scrape away any paint that is there ... to make sure it is a clean connection . ]

get back to us here for any more help

its not the wire that goes to the battery. as far as i know, one goes to the battery, one gets grounded, and one gets spliced from the yellow wire either behind the deck, or the accessory outlet. is that right?

the annoying whine gets louder as my rpms go up and it drops when i switch gears. still haven't figured it out.

could be a bad ground. also, make sure your RCA wires are run on the opposite side of the car as the main power wire from the battery.

you want your remote turn on wire from the amp to connect to the remote turn on wire on the head unit. It is usually blue or blue with a white stripe. it will be in the manual.

It's not a bad ground.. you wired your remote turn on wire to the wrong wire..your amps don't shut off when your HU does like thei supposed to. By the sounds of it you spliced the Remote turn on wire to your Ignition wire which is always on as long as the car is.. Not the speakers going nuts..that's also a noise problem because your signal cales are picking up noise from the cars electronics...

Cheers
