What is the most watts i can have running thru my 2003 Civic lx without having any electrical problems such as lights dimming or car turning off do to this my hole car is stock to see if that may help

depend what other components u are running.

ur alternator is rated at 70amps.

the formula is Watts = Volts x Amps .

so if u run an average of 13v in ur car:

13v x 70a = 910w.

but if u have a system with capacitors n proper stuff in it, then it changes the playing field a bit.

btw, the 910w is theoretically available. (but remember ur ECU and all that electrical stuff pull some, ur headunit pulls some and all ur other stuff)

i using around 900 watts with a big three upgrade a larger duralast golt top battery and a 3 fared capacitor. i have no dimming or other problems . before the upgrades my lights would dim.

i run a 600 watt amp and my lights wont dim until i put my stereo on max and have my bass turned all the way up. and i have a 200 watt amp for my three ways and a 400 watt amp for my 6x9s

fyi i have a 2005 ex se running 2-400w amps, big 3 upgrade, duralast gold battery and have no dimming issues when the bass hits. I do see dimming when using the power windows though.

wow i have 1200 with a new radio, no big what evers and its all hooked up on one battery and i have never had dimming issues.
