A pic of my 6.5's...
I thought this might be useful for some people that haven't installed new 6.5's in that location. Check my Member's Rides page for what kind of speaker that is and what kind of speaker spacers those are.

Just about any 6.5" speaker will work IMO. Whatever the mounting depth is on mine, I still have an inch plus of mounting depth. I don't think they make speakers that would be deep enough to not fit with the Scosche SS65 speaker spacer.

Looks ok. I would have gotten better speakers than pioneer . Also chosen a component set and mounted the woofer in the door and the tweeter in the stock tweeter location in the tweeter pod. I got a set of CDT audio 6.5" components and it sounds incredible! Each set gets 150 rms a piece and I love it. Also where is your intake, your engine looks ugly without one, no offense.

I had the impression that Pioneer's Premier line of speakers was top notch. Only recently did I see 6.5's that had better specs than mine and were priced about the same. The component speakers would be harder to mount, so I didn't chose them. I will be getting EX tweeter pods and tweeters though.

Dayam, where did that come from? You on a war path or something buddy? I'm working on a turbo setup, so buying an intake would be pointless.

Four. They come with a pattern I think? Damn, I don't remember if they came with a pattern or if I made one. Either way I used the pattern to draw where the holes will need to be. Then I just drilled them and used sheet metal screws. I'll replace these with male-female studs though to get rid of the sharp points of the sheet metal screws sticking out in back. I also used some foam insulation betwean the speaker spacer and the speaker for a nice fit and to deaden vibration. Not that there was any without that stuff, but I figured what the hell...
