Re: aktermarket stereo interferance!

did you connect the regular antenna and the "power" antenna wire? even tho there is no real power antenna, newer civics have an antenna booster unit that needs to be powered, otherwise reception will be bad. if cd also makes fuzz sounds, you prolly have a bad ground. try to ground the pioneer deck directly to the car body (bare metal) and do not use the oem honda harness ground wire. if that doesnt work, not sure what else you can try.

Re: aktermarket stereo interferance!

I used the OEM black wire to wire my radio and have no problems, but I also have a 2004 not a 2007. I honestly though that the OEM ground is the best ground to use simply because no OEM radios have static from factory so why should an aftermarket have static with the OEM ground.

What ground wire did you use?

Sometimes the rca piko fuses blowout on pioneer decks causing horrible static. Its an easy fix.

Re: aktermarket stereo interferance!

yeah ive heard that pioneers have issues with the rcas. someone here actually wrapped ground wire around them and stopped the static.

and the reason why aftermarket decks have more problem is they are higher power than oem and require bigger power/ground cables to function correctly. most aftermarket units are 2x more powerful than stock (10w per channel vs 20w).
