so i bought a new battery and put it in but the thing still dont work.. just wondering what my options are... after market.. new oem.. used oem from ebay? or is it possible my alarm is disabled and its not the key but the actual alarm? thanks in advance

this happened to me when i blew some fuses..find the remote restart procedure online...try that first..

do your hazards work? i think the circuit with the remote is linked to the hazard lights. when my remote wasnt working i noticed my hazard lights were not working either. i fixed the hazards and then my remote worked.

I have a 97 Honda Civic and this happens to me regularly. It is not related to my hazard lights. I just have to re-program both remotes with 5 seconds of each other. I found the information on the website below. Just click on Honda and Accessories. The manual that came with the remotes (which I bought at the Honda dealer) said 10 seconds. That didn't work. Hope this helps.
