So.. heres the deal I own a 2001 Honda civic ... apparently it is notorious for electrical problems.
My entire Cluster gauge dies out.. that includes my:
RPM
THERMOSTAT
FUEL GAUGE
SPEEDOMETER..
ACCESSORY LIGHTS ASWeLL..
Now it could be as small as a FUSE
OR
it could be a wire shorting my system every time..(improper Ground ????)
Because the gaugge workss fine BUT at times everything will just die out on me and eventually start working again ... need to fix it cuz when it dies i dont know how fast im going :P and the cop wont care for that..
SOO ANY SUGGESTIONS guyz ?

HELP - I'm having the same problem on my 2002 Civic and need a cheap fix. Battery and alternator are fine. The gauges and electrical systems fail only for a second before coming back on. Sometimes this happens several times on a 20 minute - highway drive to work, but ironically has never happened in the evening when I drive home. Any ideas???

my 95 does this too, but its only my speedometer . i'm thinking i might have a bad connection to it?

maybe its the Comp box or servo sensor dude. same problem as mine.

my 93 civic lx has the same problem only mines sometimes the speedo doesnt work i think it might be the lil sensor on da tranny donno for sure any ideas!!!
