WTF?!? there's a way to have my cake and eat it too?

...er... i mean... have my aftermarket HU and the pocket w/door? aaarrrrrggghhh... i sold my pocket w/ the stock HU.
oh wait... there's a chance... does this magical socoche kit i hear about in legends and folk lore have a pocket w/ it. if so can I get a picture of it? I'm about to install a new HU in a week or so... maybe I could get the kit for that HU and sell the one I have w/ the kenwood 8017

Sorry..Scoche kit comes with it's own Pocket.. the Metra kit can still retain the OEM Pocket with door..However alot of people have been having troubles with that kit.

Cheers

Try this link to parts express for the metra kit. i have it and it fit fine, although i didnt like how far back it put the HU, so i modified it to bring it out a little farther.

If you want an installed pic, you can look at my members ride page. I have a carbon fiber kit, so you cant see it next to the real dash, but it'll give you an idea.

I've got the metra kit installed. I didn't really have problems with the kit itself, the problem is with the stock rail,
the holes for it are way back there, so my unit sits a bit into the dash, easy to fix though. Take a dremel/drill to it
and make another pair of holes (I'll be doing this soon). Otherwise, I like it... I like having my pocket w/ door!
