i've been looking over Sony's new shiz on their XPlod site and yeah they've got some cool stuff. i keep wanting to redo my audio system completely (except for the wiring and sounds deadning material) with Sony componenets cause i believe in Sony. but everyone keeps saying Sony's XPlod stuff is not that good so i dunno if i will or not.

i just wanna have them Xplod sickers on my car and be able to say "My car's audio system is completely Sony'd out"

I DO NOT RECOMEND EXPLOD DECKS>.......
whoa......yea, anyway.....I hate mine......worst 250$$ ever spent.....I had to match the color of the dash lights though....red.....couldnt afford the 450$$ other ones taht changed color......
My sony doesnt even have a seperate sub control.....EVERY stereo Ive ever owned had that.......
and my model is an upper one also...not the cheese dyck one.......
anyway....from experience......

sony explode decks arent that bad... some of them are actualyl kinda cool .. reliability is of a typical sony .. absoulte crap .. but ... hey if you like it and it works more power to you ..
but you do know why they call them explode right ..

man...all my sony xplod stuff has had great reliability...my brothers alpine deck went before my old sony MD deck

Also...Sony has the new CDXMP30 which is only a MP3 player...and only $250...I have last years version...quite nice...one cd=150 or more songs...

your model could not be that high without having a sub volume control. i have the cdx-ca750, which is below all the L3 Cube decks and is not ES either. you may not like the decks, but maybe you should actual go thru all the options before you buy something.

if you wanna bash sony, that's fine.. no hair off my back, but don't do it when you are the one who bought a low end 'ford fiesta' of decks. i can also point out low end kenwood, pioneer AND alpine decks that have no 'sub controls'... you get what you pay for. simple as that. whoever sold you that deck and told you it was high-end.. i give him MAD PROPS.. cuz you got your a$$ PLAYED.

again.. bash sony all you want.. but know what you are talking about before you start.

I have a xplod head unit that i got for $175 new. It has a good it of features including sub controls, and it's reliable and sounds good with xplod speakers.
