Does anybody have these installed on their coupes?

I couldn't find a thread after an exhaustive search.

How's the difference between the lights on versus the brake light? Is their a notable difference? How's the quality of the LEDs?

Some people have them.. they look pretty good IMO, and the LED's are bright as I recall. There was a thread a while back about a dude who opened them up and blacked them out.. came out pretty good

i have the ones from sonar i think. the top part is silver, not red. i can give pic if you want.

there is huge difference between night time light vs brake. i asked my friend to check for me and when i stepped on the brake, he jumped because it was so bright.

and Alpha 5, that was uncool.

Cool. If you have pics, definitely post them. I'm drawn to the red/clear/red because it's less ricey (IMHO) and less likely to attract Johnny Law too.

I have had them since they came out pretty much...IDK say 2.5years. Havent had a problem with any LEDs goin out and they are super bright!

there. i made a demo of my tail lights. too dark to take pix. just imagine the red part on top being clear.

my tail lights never gave me trouble with the cops. the only time i ever got pulled over in canada was for tinted windows and not displaying my N sign. that's like 2 years of driving and i forgot i was driving in cop town. he also made a note of my old obsolete radar detector too and i took that off ever since.

sniperscout, that's amazing! I wish I had that much patience, talent and time (not in that order!) I know that there's some pre-blacked out tails on eBay, but it looks like they only come in the clear/clear/red, as opposed to the red/clear/red which is what I prefer.

yeah. i checked ebay. the blacked out ones don't look good. i prefer mine which are clear and the red ones second.

i bought mine from a local store in greater vancouver area though. actually i forgot how much i spent...

i do know that you can only plug the connectors from the lights into the socket one way maybe you plugged one in wrong

From what I gather, it appears that the ECU believes that the brake bulb on the tail lights is burned out and therefore, does not let the cruise control engage. There's got to be a way to balance the electrical load going back to the ECU so the computer is "fooled" into believing that everything is working.

I tried plugging them in the "other way". The harness will seat correctly, but the LEDs will not function with the polarity reversed.

I have those tail lights aswell and they are really bright; which is good for visibility for idiot drivers behind you...i got them in my 02 coupe they are tight
