in your case..I'd say get 2 Boston Acoustics pro series 10's 10.5LF

and an MTX6500D to power them..that's some solid bumping with amazing sound quality..

the difference purely is the power the amp will put out.. No difference in sound ...

a sub is a sub....what the hecks an acoustic sub?? all subs are acoustical as they produce low frequency noise.. Where did you see that from bro?..I wanna find what wherever you found that meant.

Cheers

WhiteRabbit is a glorious beacon of lightWhiteRabbit is a glorious beacon of lightWhiteRabbit is a glorious beacon of lightWhiteRabbit is a glorious beacon of lightWhiteRabbit is a glorious beacon of light
haha ive been waiting for this.......

OK...... the FIRST thing that i love about saying all this is that with techno and trance, there is NOSQ TO WORRY ABOUT AT ALL! in fact, with such types of music (with RARE expeption) it is DESIREABLE to KILL your ears with square waves, triangles, all SORTS of FUN stuff you can do with tweets! but bass sis also important!

because SQ is not an issue (talking SOLEY about staging) a really cool concept is that you can just put in a BILLION speakers and you get the sound you want!

because of so many speakers, this eliminates teh need to get a pair of GOOD speakers, you could get a bunch of entry level speakers, and give them low levels of power each, and combined it would sound GREAT! still gotta get midlevel subs tho =/

if I were doing this setup (hehe) this is what I would do:

#1 speakers in kicks. 6.5" coaxial
#2 speakers in kick panels. 4" coax
#3 tweets in A-pillars, or mirrors, wherever.
#4 pair of tens in "rear kicks" (sealed boxes tuned to Qtc of .707 just behind the front seats to teh outer part of the vehicle) or two sets of tens, firing straight up in same location. (thats my vote)
#5 6x9 in the rear deck. you could ALSO have 6x9 in teh side panels, but that would require cutting, and i think youll be fine without them (id do it tho ^.^)
#6 sealed 15 in the trunk, also .707 aligned, sometimes you need LOW bass for techno/trance, but tens/twelves are really more desireable for the bass kicks, which is more common in most of the songs.
#7 LOTS of neons! put them everywhere! and make sure they ALL work on music controllers, some to dance to treble, some to bass! (also those lightning tubes would be cool, and DONT forget teh strobe lights!)

so you get your 50x4, or your 100x4, whatever you got to compliment your speaker's power demands and you wire the front three speakers (6.5, 4, 1" tweet) to teh front channels, and your two sets of 6x9's to the rear. a seperate 2 channel amp runs to your main bass, the 2 (or four) tens, youll need something powerful, and a simple monoblock for your 15 in teh trunk, like 250-400 watts.

make sure you HEAVILY cross over EVERY speaker in your system, ESPECIALLY the tens and fifteen. ANY sharing of frequencies of those two kiddies will result in MASSIVE canncellation and overall crap sound of your club music machine

what you will have when you finish, is a GARGANTUAN system. no expensive equipment required at all, just a BOATLOAD of midlevel/entrylevel equipment. there will be NO imaging WHATSOEVER, not to say that everything else will sound like crap, its just htat it will have no stage.

what you will have is a car that can play one type of music, VERY, VERY, VERY well. you will notice that wen you turn up teh volume, EVERY note has an origin or inside yoru head!

also youll have a VERY flashy system, be sure to drop alot of money on an alarm

haha, if all you listen to is eletronica...........
