System Trouble Help

I have a question if someone can answer it great if not oh well.
My amp turns on but there is no sound coming out of my speakers and I have checked the RCA's and bought new ones and everything and still the same stuff happens, Nothing. I have 4 ga. ran into a distibution block and then 8 ga. runnin to two amps and they both do the same thing. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

Like Subrage01 says make sure u'r not in protection mode. And check the gains etc. I had a similiar experience thinking something was wrong with the line from the HU but turned out my gain was set wrong and voila no sound. =(

I've seen this before.. if you checked your RCA's and such and still no sound at all.. Check the voltage at yuor RCA's if it's ZERO..your HU's output stage is deffective..

So if my level is zero that means my head unit is messed up? Now should I send the head unit back in and tell them to fix it or what? Thanks for the help man.

Yup.. or you can do it from the RCA's in your trunk.. just put one lead on the center ppin.. one lead on the outsode ring and turn the volume up on your HU..play a CD and see if you get any Voltage reading
