help! don't know where the screws are for cd deck!

i got my cd deck installed at bestbuy with the trim kit around it.
now i have to install back the oem honda cd player.
i was able to take the deck back out, but i don't know where to access the
screws for the bottom cabinet thing.

can someone please help me with details?
i read in the forum someone said it's by the 12volt lighter thing..
but i dont see any bolts around there!

my civic is a 2003 model.

If you had your head unit installed at Best Buy, they offer the free factory restore. But now that you started working on it, they probably won't do it anymore.. well at least for free.

Anyway, there are two 8mm (I believe they're 8mm) hex screws. You have to pull out the panel with the fog light switch and the 12 volt accessory plug. You have to look kinda up at an angle to see them.

Thats about right. I just pulled mine out today to install my IPOD cable to the Alpine HU. You could just disconnect everything from the enviromental controls and the head unit that way you can see it better. Thats what I did so I could route my wires. Then again, if you put it back together neatly, best buy will never know! I never had any good experiences with their installs anyways so how much they pay attention to detail is up in the air.

i know you're new here, but use the search function before you ask something that's been covered a thousand times.

yes their are two 8mm hex nuts behind the panel that the cig lighter is installed in. remove those then pull out the center console. remove your aftermarket cd player. then just install your OEM deck and put it all back together in reverse order. its not that hard. use the search function it has been covered 1999854224 times
