2 questions.......MTX81000.....
1st off, I just purchased the MTX81000D......399$$$Goood price?????
2nd,,,I am hooking it up to my stock battery and alt........hmmmm dont know bout that one
ok so maybee 3.....3RD......I am running 2 JL 12W-6's......w/ a mono amp to run it 2 ohm......
do I wire the speakers like so..........
a wire to - to -
then +to+......
then +and- to what?????????
they are dual voice coil speakers...........MONO amp???????
soooo...how do I wire for 2 ohm??????

Check jlaudio.com, they have pdf files that explain how to wire the DVC's. That amp makes a lot of power, that might be too much for just 2 JL's, i would just run them at 4 ohms before you risk blowing them out.

you can wire 2 of them down to 1.5 ohms.. you cannot wire 3 of them to 2phm.. only 4 ohm.. or 1ohm.. which won't work.. also.. with that monster amp..your stock system can't handle it safely.. as Voiceofid what happens when U crank your system hard with a 1000 amp for long.. he stalled out cause his ignition system wasn't getting enough power to operate [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]
