i know alot of people use the mini L shaped brackets to hold it in place, they drill it right to the car.

if you do not want to drill into the car, you can use an alternate method (you wont like it) to solidly mount your subwoofer box.

you can cut a piece of plywood 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick (1/2 inch is better) the approximate size of the trunk. the two lazy methods are:

#1 copy your trunk floor carpet as a template. its not perfect, but it shouldnt wiggle too much.

#2 cut the wood as wide as the wheel wells and test fit the sheet, making cuts until the front curvature matches the stock panneling around the trunk latch. This is very solid, but does not leave your trunk flat.

you can add the wings to either side of #2, but it might be more work than you want to perform.

once you have a solid base to work from, simply screw the sub box into the floor from the inside. you will have to remove the subwoofer to do this. no ugly mounting brackets visible, this way.

floor goes no where and the box is attached to the floor. not the simple solution, but it saves you from poking two screwholes into your trunk floor sheet metal.

your other alternative is to find a couple places that have stock bolts/threads (the support struts to stiffen the rear deck, for example) and install backstrapping using those preexisting mounts. you can then run the backstrapping to your box and screw it in. saves you from drilling holes if you dont mind exposed strapping.
