car stereo installation
first off sorry if this is a repeat. but i searched the archives and found nothing.. just got a deck for my car and want to order a installation kit online. i dont want to lose the little storage slot for cd's or whatever..this SCOSCHE one is the only one i could find online LINK... and it got a bad review, so i figured theres gotta be something better out there.

Rep Power: 0 You're in luck. Metra makes a trim ring kit for the new civic. It allows you to keep the factory pocket, and then you just put in a small trim ring around the deck you install. Go to www.metraonline.com and you can find it there.

Rep Power: 349 metra doesnt have it out yet. they are in the works so within a month or two before u can but it. the way i know is bc my uncle is the vp of the company.

Then why do I and a lot of other people have a metra kit in our cars?

Rep Power: 0 Yes Metra does make one for our cars, actually they make two. One is just for the top area and the other replaces the pocket and all. I got both of them because the first one I got, Just the top, didnt seem to fit well with my Kenwood MP3 HU and then I emailed them and told them about it and they sent me the full thing for free, I am yet to put it in, but as far as I know it will work. If you want I can send you the Part Numbers of them.

Rep Power: 0 Metra currently makes 1 kit but they are in development of another..... with a 1/2 din pocket(from what i've heard) I use the Metra kit as well.. I Used the scoche and it warped in the sun..wasn't a good fit..
