If you mounted your amp in the trunk, pull back all the interior and plastic to find the rear strut (check the Suspension Forum to find out how to access it). Take the nut off only one of the three bolts, and place the ground wire on it, and retighten the nut back on.

nah, you don't need to do that. Just find any spot that's metal in your trunk. Sand the area around your grouding point, and it should work fine. My grounding point is on the hump just behind the rear seats. I can take a pic tommorrow if you want.

The reason why you can't ground your amp. There's paint on the metal, so it won't ground like that. So sanding the paint off is the most important part.

the easiest and best place to ground your amp is if you pull back the carpet around the side of the trunk and there are those little black screw/clip things that just snap in the holes pick the one near the bottom on the right hand side. Pop out the little plastic screw/clip thing, pull back the carpet and sand off the paint to bare metal. Then find a nice washer and put that on the plastic thing then put your wire on it and put the plastic screw/clip thing back in. That works really good for me (the washer isnt necessary i just use it because then it guarantees that there is lots of metal to metal contact)
