And i was wondering if there is any way to hook up additional componets using maybe and aux input located on the brain, without having to buy anything extra, if i do have to buy something extra what do i need and i side note i already have xm hooked up to the one ipbus input. Thanks for any help you can give me
what do you want to hook up on it? doesn't your XM receiver have a pass thru (can plug in something else in the XM cable or on the XM receiver) on the ipbus cable? are you hooking up something to the headunit that needs to be controled by the headunit or just something to show video (playstation, etc...). need more info on what you want to connect. if you just want to connect something to show video, you only need the aux input.
Sorry i wasnt specific, I'm hooking up my IPOD and I use aux to headphone cables to hook it up to my home stereo so i guess I'm wondering if i can do the same thing on current deck without having to buy http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pn...492523,00.html
if your only hooking it up with the headphone jacks to the aux input, there is no problem, you wouldnt need the ipbus at all. but if you buy an ipod adapter to hook it up to your headunit to be able to controll your ipod threw your headunit, then you would need to use the ipbus. but im guessing your XM receiver has a pass-thru to let you connect another thing to your headunit anyways cause the ipod adapter has the passthru, so you could plug your XM into the ipod adapter, then plug the ipod adapter to the headunit. it all depends if you want to controll the ipod with your headunit or not, cause if you dont, you just need to connect it to the aux input in the back of your headunit.
