I'm getting 2 rolls. I guess I'll just post my questions now.
When I am doing the doors, do a put a layer on the door and one on the inside of the trim piece. That would make 2 layers.
When I do the trunk, are there any areas I need to focus specifically on or add an extra layer to?
I guess that's it for now. I'm sure I'll have more when I actually get it and start working. Thanks.

well with 2 rolls you have a lot to work with..do 2 Layers on in inside of the door(exterior sheetmatal) 1 layer as a door skin.. no need to deaden the plastic.. for the rear doors, do 1 layer inside the door, 1 as the vapor barier/doorskin.., 2 layes on your firewall as high up as you can get, only down to where your front seats are... For your trunk, do 2 layers areound the wheel wells/ Strut towers.. 1 On the trunk lid, and 1 on the top and bottom of your rear deck....that's will give you the best performance for what ya have.. It will ALOT of road noise...no more trunk rattles.. less "Thunk" sound from your trunk everytime you hit a decent sized bump... and any leftovers use them Under the rear seat and trunk basin.

when you say 2 layers on the doors, just apply one layer to the sheet metal after taking off the plastic and then apply another layer right on top of the first one? not sure what you mean by door skin/vapor barrier.
everything else is pretty clear.

Okay on the front doors.. when you remove the door panel there's a plastic vapor barrier.. remove that.. Behind that barrier is the door skin..(the exterior of your door from the inside) Umm doesn't sound right but hey.. Basically the inside of the sheetmetal that makes up the outside of your door..(damn I'm being vague) there you do 2 layers.. Then to replace the vapor barrier use 1 layer on (2 layers about 5" around the speaker) and you're set..
Any idea how much it costs for Canadian orders. I can do the dollar conversion and calculate the G.S.T., just wondering about duties/taxes or other border charges. Sounds like you've done this online cross border shopping thing. Thanks for any info.

Sailor.. for us Canadians it's cheaper to buy Brown bread from B-Quiet.com After GST, Excise taxes and duties and exchange specially now man 62%... Dayum.. Brown Bread performs pretty much the same as RaamMat60...but it's better off heating it up a wee bit and it sticks amazing....it's what I used because the Raam Mat works out to costing abotu 20% more..

Thanks, you read my mind on the comparison. I had the info on B-Quiet from your old post, and wanted to see if the member price deal had made the RaamMat cheaper overall. I'll be going with the Brown Bread.
for those who miss out on this deal, you can get stormguard at home depot. costs $60-70 for a roll, each roll is enough to do two entire cars, like 200 sq ft total, you can share the costs between two people.
get that, a heat gun, and a roller, total cost is $50 per person, and you get enough to do two cars in two layers, or two cars in five layers if you dont do the floor

its only problem is its not terribly sticky, but this can be fixed with a heatgun/ blowtorch
put some on a friends trunk lid with a blowtorch, i dont think its ever gonna come off
the roll is heavy, but it snot as heavy as dynamat. like I said, youll need more layers than layers of dynamat for equal deadening, but from what I understand (never used brown bread or raam mat) its supposed to be the same quality.
as for dynamat, its not that good, but when a trunk kit alone costs $90 retail, vs $100 retail for the stuff and install tool to do two whole cars, which would you choose?
supposedly the stuff loses its stickyness after 5 months, i am three months after install, and I dont have problems yet, so if you dont want to be risky, ask me next month if that stuff is still on there (its DEAD solid on tehre right now still) here is my rear deck:

and my side panel (I wish i put expanding foam in first =/)

rattles gone, works great.

How long will this deal be gonig on? I won't be able to get it for about 2 weeks since I have to by the wiring for my amp and the box in a couple days and I don't have too much money for the car right now. Any idea if he will still be offering this at that price by then?
How much of this sound deadening material do you need to do the doors on a sedan only? I'm assuming two layers right?
What's the difference between Brown Bread, Dynamat, and Raammat? Are they all pretty much similiar materials?

Klam..in our case 70sq. of Brown Bread is the best deal for the 4 doors and the trunk lid.. 2 layers on the front doors. 1 layer on the back doors. and the trunk lid(if you have a system)..

Klam.. true.. but add GST duty and Excise tax plus shipping price comes out to being the same..Might be a few bucks cheaper with the $79 a roll deal..but Raam60's adhesive isn't as Durable as Brown Breads.. (read as..might not live through 2 winters)..

Here we go again....where is the proof that RAAMmat has a weaker adhesive than anything else?
If anyone is questioning the quality of the RAAMmat including the adhesive, please email Rick McCallum at raam@raamaudio.com and go directly to the source for the most accurate information. He will have all the winter & summer test data of the product you will need.

Rick is the proof dude.. RAAM 60 is NOT reccomended as a roofliner or hoodlinder ebcause the adhesive may come loose after time..
Brown Bread is Reccomended for both of those uses.. and Brown Bread when heated gets stickier..RAAM with enough heat will become losse enough to remove (personal experiance here.. takes ALOT of heat though) BB heat it all damn day it's just as sticky bro..also Rick wouldn't know too much about how durable it is in the cold ..

This thread makes no mention of using RAAMmat as a hoodliner until you posted your reply. Anyone reading this thread would see your comment and assume the material does not stick well. I agree, RAAMmat is NOT a hoodliner, it has never claimed to be one so do not put it under the hood. Use a product made specifically for that. For all other areas the mat is excellent. RAAMmat does not even need heat, another advantage. Rick has sold to plenty of people in cold climates so yes he does know how it performs in cold weather.
Bottom line, it is a great product that does what it is intended to do and saves you a considerable amount of money over name brands. There, I've had my say and won't post anymore about the product. I've instructed Rick to read these threads and he can reply if he feels it necessary. Not trying to start a battle over which damping mat is best, it's not that big a deal. It's damping mat! Just want to make sure that anyone considering buying the RAAMmat knows that they are getting an excellent product for a good price. If you have any questions TALK TO RICK! He is a great guy and can offer a tremendous amount of help in this area.

Raam Mat is best based on price and damping...it's great stuff.. I never said it wasn't.. I posted this whole thread for a reason. RAAMmat is a great product..at an amazing price. For Canadian residents at this time however it works out cheaper (with RAAm60 at it's normal price of $99US) to buy Brown bread. Because if it ships over the border, there's Duty, Excise tax and GST.. not to mention shipping costs..
If your in the US.. Raam is the way to go as I've stated before..
