taking out the alarm

I am selling my car for a bike(the sweet kind with pegs) and a mutual fund. . . . . .I have a viper 350hv in there right now. Is there anything I should know about removing an alarm? I know nothing about alarms so if you have a simple or complex tip please give it.

from what i've heard, *most* of the wires are just tapped and can be removed and taped up. i think there may be a few that are cut. hopefully one of our installers can comment.

grenloch101056 is an unknown quantity at this point
only wire that is cut is going to be your starter wire, just reattach it using a butt connector. Why even bother taking it out? Installing a car alarm the second time isnt worth it, if it was done right, the wires are all going to be cut to your cars length and taped up.

because I am selling the car. It adds no value and some people fear a car alarm leaving them stranded.

well, the easiest thing would be to just not give them the keyring piece. its stupid to take it out, you cant sell it, and why not just give them an alarm if they want it. if not, give em the oem keyless piece and they wont know the difference.
