Headunit wiring question
Headunit wiring question
My HU does not have the blue "power antena" wire, and my aftermarket harness does. I've done some search here, and got numerous answers...My HU has the blue/white "remote" wire that goes to my amp, and has a tag sign that says "the is not the wire for the power supply"...some folks here have suggested to to make a 3-way and connect power supliy wire from my harness to a remote white/bue + amplifier remote. Should this be ok?
others suggest to hook it up to the factory green/yellow, but on my 01 civic car harness, the green/yellow is driver/front (+) speaker, so i'm a bit confused...

connect the blue wire from your headunit to the power antenna wire on the aftermarket harness. when the headunit turns on, it will power the power antenna wire wich goes to the back of our car to the antenna booster.

i know your headunit doesn't have the blue power antenna wire, you don't need it, connect it with the blue/white remote wire instead. They are the same, exept the remote wire is always on when the headunit is on, but the power antenna wire is only on when the radio is selected. It doesn't matter if you connect it to the remote wire instead, it just means that it the booster will be on anytime the headunit is on.
doesn't sound like a big problem to me then...thanks for the answer!
ps. sorry, i missed your post before that where you explained what to do. thanks for being patient.
