Kicker Amp Pulses on its own
Hey searched and could not find.
My kicker KX300.4 amp pulses like it has a heart beat. When hooked up to power it pulses the subs like once a second. All the while the red protection light is on and for the instant is pounds the subs the green light comes on.
Any ideas what is going on....BTW i hooked back up my old amp using the exact same connections and it works so it is 100% the amp. And the kicker amp did work for about 2 weeks before the pulsing started.

the + wire on the amp might be too close to the remote or the ground. what kind of connection are you using? clips or just wires or what? also what guage of each wire you using to the amp and where are you running them from and where are you running them to. if you know its the amp then why ask us. if its the amp 100% sure then get rid of the amp. if you want to sell it for cheap i'll buy it from ya.

i am running 4 guage wire from the battery thru a fuse to a distribution block. Then 8 guage from the distrubution block to the amp. the ground goes from the AMP to the frame.
And yes i think its the amp but i wanted to know of anyone has ever heard of a pulsing amp...can it be fixed, is it permanent or what. Cause like i said it still can power the speakers once every second.
