Infinity 6.5's in the front...Help!!!

so, I took the door panel off both front doors...everything went fine there...when I went to install my Infinity 6.5's (6012si shallow mounts) they will not fit without a spacer...since I do not have the parts to build my own..can anyone suggest where I can get a spacer? which size do I need half inch, 3/4? 1 inch?

any help would be appreciated..cause right now I GOT NO DOORS DUDE!

also, the speaker on the right door was different from the drivers side... the right side door speaker is not labelled + and - ...should it be the same as the drivers side..which is labelled?

UPDATE: went to CC and got the 1" spacers...they should work fine..then went to sears and got myself an 18v cordless drill...(WTF? why did I not own one of these earlier?)...they had a craftsman on clearance for $27!! Give me an hour and a little less rain and I should have them in... will post back when done!

hey man,

i just recently installed those speakers as well in my car, u are going to need to get spacers, u can get them @ future shop, u should get the 1/2 inch ones (6.5" size) they are selling it for $25.99 or so (lol, i got employee discount :P) anywho...they should fit perfectly...

ok, as for connecting the speakers...all i did was line up how the speaker was b4 and then i cut off the connectors and then got some soiler and put it together...u will also need to drill holes into the side panel to fit the spacers

and make sure that back part of the speakers fits inside the hole, beacuse i made my speaker to low and i end up bending the + and - parts.

anywho, i think that should work, cuz it is working great for me!

P.S, if your lost about the + and - part...just look @ it...it is pretty common sense!
