Alright guys, tell me how does this system sound in an 01 Civic LX SE:
-2 2006 Kicker 15L7(2000W Each)
-2 Hifonics 1500BX(1500W Each)
Yes, I'm planning on shutting everyone else down completely. I want the loudest system on the streets. Does anyone think they have better, or recommend anything better? Thanks to all.

i was running 2 S15L7s off of a pair of BX1500Ds (i imagine that's what you were talking about) in a '03 EX sedan... you're not even going to get close to "shutting everyone else down completely" with this system... for this setup, you're going to need about 16 cubic feet for a ported box (i don't care what Kicker says), a couple Optimas, and a H.O. alt to even get you started... yes, it'll be loud, but it's all about box design, port placement and tuning, etc, and it's not gonna happen in a Civic unless you're walling off the rear seat area...

trust me, i know my Kicker gear... i had 4 S15L7s in a 33 cubic foot ported wall in my Tahoe, pushed by 4 modded KX1200.1s... current project was 4 S12L7s, 2 ZX1500.1s, 1 ZX350.4, 1 ZX650.4, 2 RS65.2s, 4 KS525s, 4 KS65s, and 2 KS693s in my Civic, but i'm just going to sell the car... i'm running 2 S12L7s, ported, off of a modded KX1200.1 (1610w @ 1ohm) in the Escalade, and i guarantee that it will blow your proposed setup away...



i'd say stick with a pair of S12L7s and a single BX1500D... that's what i was running in the pic below... loud as hell, still had trunk space, and it didn't fry my stock electrical system (added a Yellow Top and a BatCap 800)... remember, bigger is not always better...

Yeah, I know the Civic isn't the best car for those 15L7s, because theres really not enough space to do exactly whatever you want. And I'll break the windows before I can possibly reach the max wattage of the subs. But I just want 15"s because they hit deeper than 12"s. I still have the 10L7s, constantly hear the 12L7s, and I think the 15L7s will do. And for out here, the loudest car on the streets is my buddies Deville, only runing 2 RF 15P3s, only 1000W each, and off of a Performance Technique 2000W amp. And I am planning on upgrading my electrical system with 2 optima yellows, 2 5.0 caps, and rewiring my chassis.

15's do NOT 'hit deeper' than 12's.

i have had 2 12" L7's running off a bx1500d as well and i definately needed an HO alternator and a deep cycle battery. my lights would dim all day and my voltage was dropping down to low 12's constantly on hard hits.

if u plan to upgrade your electrical system, i highly recommend an high output alternator as top priority.

Nah, sorry Mr. D17thgen, but 15"s hit a little harder and deeper than 12"s. Now 12"s do hit faster, but not harder and deeper. And if my 2 yellow tops and my interstate batteries don't work well enough, even with the caps and the chassis rewired, than I'll just do the alternator rebuild. Or, just a new H.O. alternator. But yeah, 15L7s hit deeper and harder than 12L7s!

correction: 15L7s can hit deeper and harder than 12L7s... do the system right, and you'll punk out your boy with the DeVille, no problem... but it's complicated, bro... you can't just take a pair of big subs and a pair of big amps and expect it to blow everyone away... you have to take into consideration resonant frequencies, vent speed, interior structure of your vehicle... the 2 S12L7s in my truck beat the **** out of the pair of S15L7s that were in my Civic... not saying they're not going to be loud... just saying be careful, or your gonna waste your money

as far as capacitors go, i recommend BatCaps... always used them before, always will... i have upgraded electrical systems in all my rides, but i still have a couple BatCaps in the back for the extra juice...

Yep, its all about tuning and box building quality. And I plan on getting a custom box built, and professionally installed by this shop in Los Angeles. But I know I was right, 15"s do hit harder and deeper, if setup right. And your final results depend on your box, ohm wiring, space, and install. And I think its well worth the money.

You are wrong, 15's do not always hit deeper than 12's. i bet my 12's will hit deeper than your proposed future set-up. And they don't always hit harder either. It seems you know a little something from reading up on the forums but you still don't know what you are talking about and that system will not be the loudest on the street, a civic never will be. you are not "knocking down the competition dawg"

Now if I were to have a 500W 15", and you had an 800W 12", you would be louder and deeper. But if I had a 15L7 and a 12L7, which 1 do u think will be deeper and louder? The 15L7. But you cant just compare any setup to any, because box and wiring comes into hand. But I'm going way overboard with my system more for braggin' writes on how much my system is worth and the high quality **** I got. And I know a Civic will never be the loudest, but I want to get this Civic the loudest it can get. And I know it will still kill damn there every other car on the streets. And I didn't just learn this audio **** yesterday. Come on now, my other buddy has 2 of the 2005 15L7s off of a Boss 4000W amp, and with that bullshit amp, and in a Saturn SC2, I still hear him 3 blocks away. So imagine what my setup will do.

Just because you hear it 3 blocks away does not mean it is good system. And about me being deeper, i am comparing my 500 watt 12's to your 1000 watt 15's. braggin rights on how much your system is worth and high quality **** you got is the dumbest thing i ever heard. Why don't you sell the civic and get a box chevy on 26's. it seems like it would fit you well, wit like 4 15's dawg

^ Well said! I hate when i all i hear is a bunch of bass and the shittiest highs and mids. I would take my 1 S12L7 and the setup i have over 2 15's anyday, i go for sound quality. You better dynamat your entire car for the setup too or people will just laugh at your with all the rattling and fibrations. Sounds like all you want is to be heard a mile away from bass, but when you get up to people they will just laugh cause the rest of your stereo will sound like ***.

Here is my setup, for 1 12" S12L7 i have 3.2 or so cubic ft box and its ported.

Yeah, but his bullshit amp made that **** that loud to where he was knocking pictures off of the walls in my house. And on the other hand, my boy has 2 12W7s in his Caprice and they dont even rattle my house much. But my point is, just for it being a civic, I want it 2 kill all Civics, and then make these dudes ridin H2s mad because my **** is louder and cleaner than theres. And if I had my moms Tahoe , I would put 6 15" Brahamas in that Hoe. But I gotta have the most expensive, best, highest quality **** on the streets. And why the **** would I sell my car? And the15L7s are 2000W each, 1000W RMS, so saying your 500W 12"s will beat my **** is the dumbest **** I ever heard.

What are you even running for your highs, mids, midbass, Equalizers? Rattle your pictures off a house? Plz, if i was riding in a H2 i would careless if a civic pulled up with more bass.

You don't need Equalizers? Can you explain why? Your car is gonna sound like **** man if you don't do it right, just throwing in some subs is not gonna make it sound better, if anything worse. You need to plan out your stuff. Dynamat will kill all the fibrations and rattles, you can even layer it up. Equalizer will make sure everything sounds 10x better, you can fine tune all the frequencies including the bass.

wtf do you mean. If i was riding in a H2? That makes no sense, you said you wanna make people in a H2 jealous but why on earth would they be jealous? They own a $55-$60K vehicle, you own a $12K.

You have Polk Components, no EQ to do anything, what are you running the components off of, the headunit? n00b plz, before you come in here talking trash try to get some rep and some posts under your belt.
