Finally got off my butt and took pictures of the install. Nothing special, but a little nicer than you normal carpetted box (which is what I was going to originally do, lol).

very nice, im much more impressed by the clean low key installs rather than the flashy look at me installs.

that trunk lid looks sweet, did you just spray it with adhesive and carpet over?

Yep, did it years ago. Covered the trunk lid with Dynamat, looked like crap. Taped off the areas I didn't want glue, and sprayede it, layed carpet over it, and cut off the excess. Super easy way to add some "class" to the car.

Thanks.

Using a JL 1000/1. Its hidden in the spare tire well, but I plan to build something to show them off a little because they have that chrome finish.

I hang out at a local car audio store, all the guys there are my friends. Me and the sales guy did the install, he was bored and the other guys have installs to do.
And yes, it weighs a ton, lol. Those woofers are heavy themselves, and then the box (doesn't help that the face of the box is double thick).

The bass does get a little crazy at times, I mean, the roof, where the sunroof is, shakes like a ****, I can't stop the rattles there lol.
The trim panel is easy. Just use a piece of cardboard and cut it the height you need. Then butt it up against the wheel well and use a sharpie to make a rough outline of the wheel well. Cut it out and place it in the wheel well area, then make little adjustments/cuts to it until it fits the way you want. Took me all of 5 minutes to do it, wasn't hard at all. If I remember, I will take pics of the cardboard, to give you an idea of what I did.
As for the wiring, since they are single voice coil woofers, I connected woofer 1 to woofer 2 (positive to positive, negative to negative) and then woofer one to the terminal cup I put on the back of the box, then from the terminal cup to the amp.
I really like the W1v2's, one of my favorite JL subs. Nice quality and good sound/output for the money.
Thanks again for the compliments guys.

1000/1, 450/4, 3/4" MDF false floor, 2.2 cubic foot enclosure made of 3/4" MDF (double thick face), 2 10W7's. Yep, I think thats quite heavy, but then again, I don't have a sports car so its all good, lol.

BTW, I just bought new brakes for better stopping power, lol.

Very nice Slick. Car audio is a bit of an addiction isn't it? Always want somthing a little better. How is your electrical system doing with the 1000/1 and 4 ch? Have you noticed any drop in voltage when you jam the bass?

Voltage drop = yes. But nothing significant. Measured 13.1v with the system cranked, playing a 40hz tone at idle (I have a high output alternator). Even when playing music with large bass notes, the voltage never drops under 13.0 volts.
My car audio addiction makes me sick when I think about all the money and product I have been through in the past 3 years.

I don't have the spare right now in the car, the amps are in the spare tire well.

What I was planning on doing to show off the amps was to put them on the back of the box, and trim it out. So you can only see them if you fold down the back seats, and that way, I can put the spare tire back in the car.

Dude I had one 10W7 in my Civic and that was more then enough for me. You went overboard, but at least you picked some nice stuff to go overboard with.

So let's say you turn it up... think you could get your deck lid to just fall on the ground?
