Rep Power: 0 Question: stuffing box helps improve bass response?
Hello,
I was searching google, and I saw a site that recommended stuffing the subwoofer box with polyfil. This makes the box seem larger than it really is.
Does this really help improve the bass? Has anyone tried this?

Rep Power: 762 I think EVERYBODY has tried it. Yeah it works, how much it works is debatable. I really need to put some in mine so when I do I'll post some results

stuffing merely simulates a larger enclosure
it isnt necessary if you have a proper sized box.
youll notice a bit more low end response, and the drawback is a tiny tiny tiny drop in output, maybe not even audible
as to the foam baffles, theyre really only effective in doors to prevent water damage
