Sorry I thought you were talking about the trunk.As far as the hu I just traced around the mount the hu slides into. Then used a box cutter to cut it out. I grabbed my sawsall and cut out the frame in the dash so it would slide all the way in. Then I used vinyl and some paint to cover up where I had to cut. Then slide the cd player in and snap the piece back in and pull the wires up to the top and plug everything back in.

what size screens are you guys using?

A 7" is the biggest that will fit without alot of mofifacation.

yup...7 inch..and be careful on which one you get. i bought a 7" screen...i forget which brand it was, but the trim was too big and didn't fit. the actual screen was 7" but when you include the outter rim it wont fit

Would it have been possible to dissect the screen from the frame and make some sort of custom setup to hold it in?

dissect the screen from the frame?



ok see the "frame" of the screen...where it says NESA on the bottom and the buttons are on top and it has writing on the top right....well on my other screen that part was maybe 1 or 2mm too big. in order for the other screen i got to work...i would have had to cut away at the actual console piece. get it?
