I am going to narrow it down for you. I prefer Pioneer or Alpine for my next setup, looking for something that's going to sound sexy. I don't care much for pricing, anything go's.

infinity is a good value brand for some clean highs, also good for thigns that are loud, but id recommend getting a subwoofer to carry out the lows.
polk gives similar sounds, maybe a bit warmer and tad more bass. it just doesnt have the crisp high as the infinity.
install also plays a big part of how your speakers sound. sound deadening in the door is a must. it cuts down on road noise, and adds to the overall sound inside the car.

i <3 my infinity kappas
but if you want somegood but kinda cheap look at pioneer, they make some decent products at low prices.
if you like your clarion speakers why not move up to their ProAudio line.

for the money the sound you get for the infinitys you cant go wrong.
my past experience pioneer speakers had a horrendous smell out of the box. and didnt offer that depth of sound i was looking for.
clarions products were way overpriced. but their stereos are still pretty good. again with those two products i think they went more for "show" like those pretty audiobahn speakers =P instead of making something that could actually produce music.

The Kind Of Music I Listen To Is Rap Or Hiphop. I Want To Just Keep Focus Of The Speakers For Now, I Know Having A Subwoofer Is Going To Help Alot With Low Sound Or Bass, But Im Just Looking At The Speaker Setup For Now.

Oh And Also I Thought Pioneer Were A Little Cheap, As Far As Sound Quality, But Wasn't To Sure. I Want To Look Into Something That Bumps, Before Installing A Subwoofer.

Pioneer is crap. I have never seen/heard one quality pioneer car a/v product.
Alpine is much better than pioneer!
If you are looking at Alpine then you may also like:
Boston Acoustics, Crossfire, Eclipse, Focal, Infinity, JL Audio, etc. Look around first. Don't jump into alpine cause you think they are the best cause you heard from some random person. Go to real car audio shops and listen to different speaker. Your ears should decide. Dont buy based on brand or looks.

If your just looking for non-component, I love my Eclipse speakers. They sound great but they start distorting/cracking around 23-27 on an alpine HU. Which IMO isn't bad for being unamp'd and stock wiring. But Alpine Type-R speakers would be good along with most of what diskreet said.
Boston makes very nice stuff. Ive had their Pro components and their new Z6 in my pickup right now. Amazing stuff that can be amped up the whazoo. JL makes nice speakers as well as Eclipse. I dont get why everyone here is so amped on Infinity or Alpine type R. Theres many others out there that sound a lot better in the same price range, but I guess thats your choice.
As mentioned before and I always say it. Let YOUR ears decide. What sounds good to someone else can sound like **** in your own ears.

alpine and infinty are held in such high regard because they are decently priced high end stereo equiptment, thats availible at most large chain electronic stores
while companies like JL, FOCAL, and phoenix gold all make great products but finding a shop that sells them is harder

Boston Acoustics are lil higher then Focals, but both are good brands. Also, the Kappas are apparently popular, so another good choice. Ur current setup is good, the quality of sound all comes from the soure of the signal, (your deck). You don't them amped?..get them amped, you'll see and feel the difference.

thats called clippping, this is what destroys your speakers. more power (use an amp) = no more crackle noise =)
oh and if to the thread starter, if youre planning to not amp the speakers at all, you have to stay with the low budget cheap speakers. no stereos are fully capable of driving a good set of speakers. heck you can get some good volume and sound out of stock speakers and an aftermarket deck. for value, go for the infinity reference. i dont know if you can do front components, but it may work depending on the power your stereo puts out.
