(No More) amp problems

I purchased a Infinity Reference 7540a amp two weeks ago and attempted to install it today. The amp did not turn on when I started the car after installing it so I tested the ground, 12V source and remote connections with a voltmeter and all of them tested as they should. I do not know of anything to do to correct the situation and believe it might be a problem with the amp. What do you think?

did you hook up the remote turn-on wire from the deck/harness to the amp? thats what turns it on not just having power/ground connected.

as long as the speaker leads arent grounding out some where and you have 12 volts on the remote turn on lead and 12 volt lead, and a good ground, then yeah its the amp.

You said you patched it in? As in you physically spliced it? Might not be enough current to work for both. I think the remote turn on lead is only .1 amps or something.

I think the remote can handle .5 amps, and is enough to power up 2 amps

turns out when I tested my ground with the ohmmeter I was grounding out on the amp and not the wire. So I moved my ground and everything works now. Pics to come

that's a distribution block, allowing me to take one input power source (bottom) and turn it into two output sources (top, one for each amp)

Glad you figured it out. hmm I want that power splitter, I am temporarily using the amp as the splitter, which is probably..bad.
Not to be a stickler, but did you run..the power on same side as RCA's?
