HEADUNIT QUESTION
i connect the remote turn on for my amp to the back of my head unit, does anyone know the volts and amps of the remote turn on, also do i need to put a fuse on it? thanx
You can fuse it if you want to but the wire only receives power when the head unit is on. Otherwise the wire is dead. Fusing isnt going to hurt anything but 99% of people dont fuse it since its not hot all the time.

You don't need to fuse it. Proffesional installers don't fuse the remote wire. If a problem occurs in any of the wiring that connects the amp the use on the amp will go out thats all. No major problems will occur.
yeah, there is no reason to fuse the remote turn on. it would be pointless. all it does is sends power to the amp to tell it to turn on when the HU is on. if there were a problem, the amp fuse would blow and you would just replace that one. I have never heard of that happening though.
