Give a hella noob a hand

I am a 100% performance guy, so besides installing door speakers, I know nothing about car audio really. My wife wants a little bump in her saturn, so I was gonna surprise her for her birthday. Anyway, I was thinking about a 150W RF Punch 12, Qlogic bandpass enclosure (I think that they sound really clean, and she likes R&B more than rap) and a MTX roadthunder Amp (I know, but she's no audiophile). I was also thinking about replacing the stock stereo (probably just a $100 pioneer) instead of trying to find a cheap amp with stereo level inputs. Any suggestions (and what will I need to wire it up besides 10ga, a fuse, and speaker wire?) Thank guys,

well for stereo i suggest alpine or clarion because they are releasing there new 2006 model line really soon and all the 2005 model are being sold for dirt cheap... and they sound alot better than pioneer IMO. and if she doesn't need to much bass get a 10" sub instead it will run you cheaper. and you will need an amp to power a sub no matter what.

get a cheap alpine $150-200 they all sound amazing and they also have rca preouts for easy amp install. installing amp is really easy. just run a power wire to the battery, then the remote wire to the deck, and a ground wire connected to the rear seat metal hump. the sub just hooks up the the amp with speaker wire. then just run the rca cables from deck to amp and you're good to go. they even sell amp wire kits at the store if you're feeling lazy to piece everything together. just make sure power wire is on one side of the car and rca on the other side.

Whatever sub and amp you decide to use, get an 8ga amp kit, not a 10
