Capacitor Question
Capacitor Question
Just wondering if anyone sees the cap drains during cold weather. When I turned on my car this afternoon, (car sitting in sub 20 degrees temperature for a day), I heard the capacitor's charging siren then it goes out. Is that normal? Would that actually drain the battery if I leave the car off for a while during these temperature?

Weather that cold definitely puts a strain on the battery during start up but won't drain it. If the battery's draining then you might have a short somewhere but i dunno about this cap siren you speak of my cap doesn't have a siren
Last time I had this much fun some furniture got broken!

every capacitor has a temperature range. If it gets too cold or too hot it will stop functioning normally.
When the ones any of us would have get cold they hold less charge and discharge a tiny bit slower. thats about it I think
