PLEASE, help needed QUICK?!

Hey guys, im putting together a system for myself, the components of the system are as follows:
-JL 1000/1 amp
-JL 300/4 amp
-JL 12W7 in prowedge box
-Alpine CDA-9853 head
-Alpine SPS-171A door speakers
-Alpine SPR-57LS rear deck speakers

My questions lie in wiring. I am gonna do all the installations myself with a few friends who have experience, and i dont know what to buy for wires. i purchased a 2 amp 2 gauge JL audio wiring kit (XA-PCS2-2) and i dont know what else i need as far as wires. Im told i need RCA cables, but how many? also what do i use as wires to connect the 1000/1 amp to the sub? and what wires do i need to connect the 300/4 amp to the speakers? or does the 300/4 amp just go back to the headunit then to the speakers from there? what ALL do i need to make this happen? also im assuming ill need a new battery? what battery should i get? what size is the battery do i buy? also im told ill need a cap? what cap should i get? is this necessary? i need specifics here like 2 channel or 4 channel RCAs (whatever that means?!) please help me out here guys.

-Mike

Also, a guy at cartoys told me ide need a H/O alternator and a 5 farad cap and a yellow top battery. i took all of this with a grain of salt and walked out. is any of that true? what should i get? please help me guys im new to this but i wanna go all the way.

Okay sorry for the crappy drawing I'll try to sort things out for you.

RED = RCAs.
You will need 3 of these for subs, front speakers, and rear speakers.
These need to go from your headunit to whereever your amp will be.
By 3 I mean 3 2-channel RCAs...or you can buy 1 2-channel and 1 4-channel.
You just need to end up with 6 total plugs.

Yellow = Remote Turn On.
You need 2 (one for each amp)
This needs to go from the headunit to the amp.
This is the thin speaker wire you get with your amp kit.

Green = Speaker Wires
You will need 5 pieces.
1. Amp to sub.
2. Amp to driver side front speaker.
3. amp to passenger side front speaker.
4. amp to driver side rear speaker.
5. amp to passenger side rear speaker.

12-14 gauge all around would do fine I think.

BLUE = Power and ground.
2 gauge red wire goes from battery to power distribution block (which should go where your amps will be.
The fuse needs to be within a foot from the battery.

4 gauge red wires go from the power distribution block to the 2 amps.

The black wire will be the ground wire.
The ground needs to be screwed on to any bare metal on the car's chassis.

EDIT: Your amp kit doesn't have a ground distribution block so just ignore it.

You need to find a good place in the trunk for the ground.

If there is paint sand it off so you have bare metal to contact with.

I think my ground wire is where the seatbelts are bolted but I'm not sure because it's been forever since I wired up my car.

so wait, i need to run wires from the AMP all the way up to the speakers in the doors? FUUUUCK how the hell am i gonna do that?! how do you get the wires from the inside of the car out into the doors without seeing them? is there a way to just go from the head unit to the speakers in the doors/rear deck? cuz the wiring for the head unit says theres a power amp out and in i believe...

Yeah you have to tear your car apart to get all the wires in.

You have to have the wires go from the amp to the speakers if you want the amp to power the speakers.

Also the tweeters need to be installed with the front speakers.

oh didnt see ur response here before i PMed you, sorry. wow thats gay and ridiculous. so i only need to replace the factory tweeters with the ones that came with the door speakers and just not worry about the rear speakers tweeters?
and 12-14 gauge wire will be fine for the sub too?

That is all big power stuff.. here is my take on it.

You should get a new alternator with higher output installed. The big 1000/1 will be drawing major current.. add the other amp, and your accessories and you'll be at or beyond the stock alternators output. A bigger battery is wise, but may not be required.. I think a big alternator is required (if it was my car).

You'll need 3 sets of RCAs. One for front channel, one for rear and one for sub.

You'll need to upgrade your battery cables that lead to ground and to the alternator (atleast I would for myself).

14-16AWG speaker cable is okay for your interior speakers. You will need to run directly to each speaker for best results. Amping speakers through the stock harness is not a good idea IMO.

I would run a 10awg or possibly and 8awg between the 1000/1 and the w7. It's probably a short run, and probably not required.. but for the 4 bucks in cable just be safe and use the heavy duty ****. That is a LOT of power.

I have tweeters along with the rear 6.5's.. it's preference I guess. Most of the sound in most cars is from the front speakers, so rears aren't AS important. You could go either way with good results.

Don't get confused though. It's a pretty big job. Especially if you DO IT RIGHT which hopefully you will do.

All interior door panels come off, dash comes slightly apart (easily), rear panels come off, back seat comes out, rear deck needs to come off.. not to mention the fun stuff under the hood. (I really would upgrade that alternator for the big power you're gonna run).

everything is correct in the picture, except the remote wire, you don't need to run 2 seperate wires from the HU to each amp, u only need to run 1 to the first amp then jump from that amp to the next one
