u sure there is 2 lights on your switch? anyways one of the pin is for your constant 12v, 2nd is for the wire going to your amp (remote) and the 3rd is for ground. but since there not marked, if you put the ground wire at the wrong place, you will short your 12v constant. you should use a multimeter to check how the switch works. Where you getting your constant 12v from?

Amp Turn On Led Indicator Diy

Wait wait wait, you I hope you mean you have a switch, a red LED with resistor, and a green LED with resistor. and you want to hook the switch up to the remote wire, where the led will light green when you have the switch on and the amp is on, and the led will light red with you have the switch off when the amp is off. Follow me?

If that is it well this DIY is for you.

You need a Single Pole Double Throw relay.

You connect the remote wire output [HU side] to the #30 common terminal,
You connect the other half of the remote wire [amp side] and connect it to the #87 NO terminal
You connect a ground to the #85 terminal
You connect any +12v but use an inline on/off rocker switch to interupt the flow
finally are the LED portion
the #87a NC terminal will connect to the red LED with an inline resistor then from the resistor to a ground
the #87 NO terminal will have the the amp side of the remote wire attached, now you tap off that wire, with the green LED with an inline resistor then to a ground

like stated before this will make the red LED illuminate when the remote wire signal is interupted by the switch and the green LED will illuminate when the amp is on

NOTES: *important
1. 85 and 86 can be reversed but it is a good practice to put the ground on the 85 and the positive source on the 86, this is to get a good habit incase you ever incounter a relay with a internal spike supression diode
2. the +12v for terminal 86 can either use a constant, ignition, or accessory +12v feed
*3. Make sure you tap off the wire on the 87 NO terminal, you cannot run the LED in series with the remote wire
*4. Make sure you use resistors inline with your LEDs use anywhere from 330 ohm to 1K ohm 1/2 watt 5%tol. - 330 will be bright - 1k will be dimmer,
To properly wire an LED I will link a page that explains it, props all to the site on this one, I've bought from them and it's good stuff: http://www.oznium.com/led

ok, ok, with this set up the LEDs will illuminate when the radio is on, if you want them always on you have to wire it differently

UPDATE:
The wires can be changed with between terminals #86 and #30 common, if you do that a light will always be on, but LEDs do not draw that much power anyways. And so if you do that the switch is optional [still before terminal #86 if used]

lastly here is a quick diagram I drew up:

No need to tap fuse box, all the wires you need can be found in your radio's harness.
Yellow is constant +12v
Blue [or blue w/white line] is your remote wire
Red is a ingnition +12v
Black is ground

Which one do you want, so it lights up all the time or just when the radio is on?

Pull out your radio-
1. Attach the yellow wire to the switch, then connect the switch to terminal 86.
2. Attach a wire to ground, [or the black wire, which is a ground] then attach it to terminal 85.
3. Take the blue remote wire, cut it attach the side going to the radio to terminal 30.
4. Take the remote wire side that runs to the amp and attach it to terminal 87.
5. Take the red LED with a resistor attached in line and attach it to terminal 87a then ground the other side of the LED.
6. Tap into the wire comming off of terminal 87 [and running to the amp] and attach the green LED with a resistor attached in line and ground the other side of the LED.
-put radio back in.

hes talking about the terminals on the relay. It sounds like your going to need to find somebody close to you with some electrical knowledge, or just a good supply of fuses.

Buy a relay and it will help you see what the picture represents.
