I have the Alpine 9855 it has 512 colors.Clarions MusicCatcher has 700 and something I think.I gurantee you can get exact match with the Alpine 9855

Alpine cda-9855 can do 512 colors. it can match any interior color because it has not only all the major colors but you can adjust to all the diffrent shade possibilitys.

I have been very unhappy with it. I have had four warrenty replacements, 3 for the swingface not working and the fourth for my whole face going white and not being able to reset. Apparently though the new one I have is the 2006 model and the third gen and has fixed all these problems. Nothing has broken so far...Knock on wood. As far as sound quality goes though you cant beat alpine.

never had any experiance with clarion. but anything is probablly better then the reliability that I have had with mine. cant really beat alpine sound quality though.
