02 civ 6.5 speaker removal/blown fuse for frot right channel?
so, i'm cruising to work, and i notice all of a sudden, my new demon hunter cd gets quietish, i fiddle with the fader and balance, and blam, i find my lower 6.5 and tweet on the passenger door are not producing any sound, i figure, aww **** i blew em...fast forward a few days...i order soem x6.5 xenon from pg, as per ryans advice, and hell yes, i like the specs, anyhow, i removed the panel, and took the tweet and the mid out, but, i kinda snapped a bit of plastic on the mid, as i was prying it off, problem number one/maybe...i'm thinking it wont matter cuz, well, it seems to be molded to the mid and i dotn think it will coem off the mid, or be needed to mount the x6.5 anyways, i hope....problem number 2........why wopuld the whole front side stop working?? well, seems to me, that its soemwhere along the wire that lead to the front right channel...so, could it just be a fuse? and, this leads me to beleive that i didnt need to buy new speakers, anyways, too late now, but..well...what ya'll think?

you need to buy aftermarket adapters to mount the 6.5's, the stock spekers have the adapters built in.
probably a loose connection somewhere, but I see my bad influence has struck again

so, the latest here.... i plugged in the speakers, the stock ones, after i pulled em out, put all channels to the right side, and cranked 'er way up...i can hear music, but they dont go very loud.
i also pulled the hu, and found no loose connections, except the right rear, it came right out, shitty, i jammed it back in...so, today, my x6.5 components arrived, i plugged in the tweet and then the mid...still, wont go very loud....wtf can be doing this? i might have to rewire it all , i mean the right front channel...beats the **** outta me.

ya you do need the spacers dude but i have some bad news about the xenon comps, i dotn think they are going to fit, the other guy from here that just bought them had a hell of a time. they arne't too deep but they are too big around apparently. im not sure what the exact prob was.

well went down to the old automobile this evening...
i put the speaker wires directly onto the pins coming out of the hu....still quiet....sound but quiet...so, i was bored enuff to tear the hu down to the circuit board, every last screw was taken out, hell of a puzzle...looked all over the board....no sign of any trouble of any kind...i have a plan though, suppose i get a wee small amp for the tweets, mids, and rears and run it off the rca connectors? i'd hate to buy a new deck right now, i'm between jobs, do ya suppose the rcas would still "transmit" the same problem of a damn quiet right front section?
