excessive amperage

anyone know how good excessive amperage alternators are? ive been lookinh for a good high output alt for a 01 civic and they have been the cheapest by far for what i was looking for. but im just wondering how reliable they are. second question is my amp says at 15.5 it runs 2500wrms and i have two batteries in my trunk wired up to 16 volts will the new alt help to keep the voltage up there?

excessive sounds bad you want high out-put alternators.

any High output alt you pick wont last as long as a stock one. and with the system your going to use it in, you might get 2-3 year out of the alt

^^I've installed several high output alternators in customer vehicles and none have them have ever came back.. come to think of it, I've never seen any vehicle come back for a bad high output alternator.. whether I installed it or employees who have came and gone.

I've been running a HO Alt for over a year, so far so good. Mine was stupid expensive, I am not going to mention the price, but you get what you pay for.
I hear that excessive amperage is alright. I think Stinger makes some nice alternators for a decent price.

I have an ohio generator and it definitely wasn't cheap. Stingers are very good as well, those are the ones we install at work. I know both carry a life time warranty. So in that respect, IMO, it's good to pay a bit more..
