rear deck sound deaden

Today i removed my rear deck to install some new 6.5" speakers. Now I'd like to sound deaden the rear deck to get rid of the vibrations/rattles. I was just going to put two layers of sound deadening material on the metal part of the rear deck.

Is there anything else I should do before laying down the sound deadening material? I'd like to get rid of as much of the rattles/vibrations as possible.

Lay some acoustical foam or Ensolite on top of the damping material - stop rattles and absorb noise. Makes the whole effort much more effective.
